About me
Dr. Aeriel A. Ashlee (she/her) is a Korean American transracial transnational adoptee scholar and speaker. Her work focuses on amplifying adoptee voices, facilitating expansive (re)imagining of power, and advancing collective liberation by cultivating inner healing. Dr. Ashlee has presented at KAAN and other professional conferences on Asian American transracial adoptees’ experiences with race and belonging, interracial relationships, and navigating microaggressions. She is dedicated to fostering brave spaces for bold conversations and has served on the KAAN Advisory Board. Her research examines transracial adoptees' proximity to whiteness and Transracial Adoptees of Color racialized experiences in higher education.
