About me
Jimmy Byrne (he/him) is a Korean adoptee who grew up in Central New York and currently lives in Chicago. He has served on the boards of KAtCH (Korean Adoptees of Chicago) and Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, and he is currently the Director of Development at a Korean-led immigrant justice organization called NAKASEC, where he is also active with Adoptees for Justice. Jimmy studied Korean at Middlebury Language Schools as a two-time recipient of the Kathryn Davis Fellowship for Peace, and he was a finalist in Korean American Story’s ROAR Story Slam in 2023.
