About me
Zhen E Rammelsberg is a transnational, transracial Korean adoptee, adopted in the 1970s through Holt. A passionate advocate for adoptee rights, she actively supports the Adoptee Citizenship Act and has shared her story on NPR, podcasts, and as a “Human Book” at the Human Library Festival. An award-winning playwright, her choreopoem Black Box: An Adoption Story explores identity and belonging. This is her third KAAN presentation and first solo. Zhen E lives with her husband, four cats, and loves being “Haelmoni” to her granddaughter Jasmine Nari—and a brand-new grandbaby arriving any minute!
